And now, a little about me….I’m a travel enthusiast and planner with a strong interest in improving the quality of life for persons who live or work near the destinations I visit, particularly when these persons are facing basic needs hardship.  Yes, that’s a mouthful, I know, but I think it comes close to conveying what I believe accurately represents the purpose of Cause Me to Travel.

Prior to starting Cause Me to Travel in 2009, I began Luxury Lovers Travel and Special Events, a full-service luxury travel and event planning agency in 2000.  Though I loved and still am thrilled to experience the best of the best that travel has to offer, I am more fulfilled in my latest endeavor.  Few things come close to knowing you have enabled a child to complete his or her education, assisted in the reconstruction of a home severely damaged because of a catastrophic event, for example.  What can actually surpass this state of bliss is witnessing the sincerity, humility, and graciousness with which you may be welcomed when meeting a local family when traveling.  To learn from, to be looked after, and to even be doted upon at times, by people who have such reverence for humanity are among the greatest of blessings.  These experiences motivate me, and when I’m quiet enough, still enough to reflect on them – they are what I draw upon in my continuous quest to become a better me.

In addition to the travel business, I consult across various industries, most notably financial services, entertainment, and media.  So, don’t be surprised if I sneak in a few mentions now and then about what’s going on in these areas, especially if they relate to travel and voluntourism!
